What you write on StartAton (your startup idea, your goals, your conversations with Aton) is 100% private and belongs only to you. We do not read it, we do not sell it and we do not share it with any third party for commercial or marketing purposes. Your project is visible only to your account.

We only collect the data strictly necessary for the service to work:

• Account: your name and email address, used to identify you and for service communications.

• Learning program: the startup idea you enter, your level of experience and the preferences you share with us during onboarding.

• Conversations with Aton: the messages you write in the chat, needed to generate replies that are relevant to your journey.

• Usage data: technical information (browser type, country, pages visited) to improve the service.

• Where your sign-up came from: the channel you arrived from (for example an ad, a search engine or another website) and the first page you saw. It helps us understand which channels work. It stays in your account and we do not share it with anyone.

• Country of sign-up: when you create your account we record only the two-letter country code worked out from your connection at the time of sign-up (for example DE). We do not keep your IP address. The country code stays in your account for as long as your account exists, and it helps us compare how the service works in different countries.

We do not collect payment data: we use certified providers. Third-party analytics and advertising tools only start if you give us your consent: you will find the details in the section on cookies.

Your data is used only to:

• Generate and personalise your incubation program

• Let Aton answer your questions in context

• Send you communications related to your account (e.g. service notifications)

To run the chat with Aton, messages are processed through artificial intelligence models from selected, certified third-party providers. This happens securely and the data is not used to train the models. The list of providers is available on request by writing to info@startaton.com.

Every use of your data has a legal basis under the GDPR:

• To provide the service (account, journey, chat with Aton, subscription): it is necessary for the contract you accept when you sign up.

• For analytics and marketing cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from "Cookie preferences".

• For the emails that support you along the journey: our legitimate interest in helping you get the most out of the service. You can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of every email.

• For the security of the site and to prevent abuse: our legitimate interest.

• To know which channel you signed up from: our legitimate interest in understanding which channels work.

• To know which country you signed up from: our legitimate interest in comparing how the service works in different countries.

• For invoices and tax obligations: legal obligations.

On the site we use three groups of cookies and similar tools:

• Necessary: they let you log in and make the site work, for example to keep you logged in and remember your cookie choices. They do not require consent.

• Analytics: Microsoft Clarity, to understand how the site is used. The text of the pages stays masked. It only starts with your consent.

• Marketing: Meta Pixel and Google Ads, to measure our advertising campaigns and show you more relevant ads. They only start with your consent. With your consent, when you sign up Meta receives your name and email in encrypted form. Without consent, Google Ads only receives anonymous signals, without cookies.

Your choice lasts 6 months. You can change it at any time from "Cookie preferences", at the bottom of the pages of the site or below. Some providers may transfer data outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR.

We keep your data for as long as you have an active account on StartAton. You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time by writing to info@startaton.com. We delete it within 30 days of your request, unless the law requires us to keep it for longer.

The StartAton investor portal (Project Analysis / Aton Score) lets investors and funders, with an account activated by invitation, upload documents about business projects (pitch decks, business plans, attachments) and receive an assessment dossier generated with the help of artificial intelligence. The following specific rules apply to this service:

• Uploaded documents: PDFs are used only to generate the requested analysis and are deleted automatically once processing is complete. We do not keep the original files: only the extracted facts, the results of the checks and the final dossier are saved, visible only to the account that requested the analysis.

• Third-party data in the documents: uploaded documents typically contain data about the person proposing the project (names, roles, experience, financial data). Whoever uploads the documents declares that they received them lawfully for the purpose of assessing the project. The person concerned can exercise their rights (access, rectification, erasure) by writing to info@startaton.com.

• Checks against public sources: the claims of the project and the background of the team are compared with publicly accessible web sources, always cited in the dossier. We do not access restricted areas, we do not buy data from third parties, and we report any lack of matches as a limit of the check, not as a judgement on the person.

• AI processing: the analysis is generated through artificial intelligence models from selected, certified third-party providers. The documents and the processed data are not used to train the models.

• Retention: dossiers remain available for as long as the investor account is active; deletion can be requested at any time at info@startaton.com.

StartAton is a structured learning and incubation tool based on artificial intelligence. It is essential that you understand what we offer and what remains your responsibility.

• Aton is a learning tool, not a certified adviser: Aton's suggestions are starting points for your work and educational guidelines. They do not constitute legal, tax, financial or professional advice. For binding decisions, turn to qualified professionals (lawyer, accountant, financial adviser).

• No guarantee of commercial results: completing the journey does not guarantee the success of your startup, raising capital, revenue, market validation or actual access to the investor network. Results depend on countless external factors that we do not control (market, execution, capital, timing, luck).

• Your choices are yours: the strategic, operational, contractual, tax and legal decisions you make during and after the journey are entirely your responsibility. StartAton is not liable for business choices made by the founder or for their consequences.

• What happens after the journey is not up to us: once you have completed the journey, how you use the materials, the skills you have gained and the contacts you have made is up to you and is entirely your responsibility. StartAton is in no way liable for actions, omissions, statements, contracts, financial or reputational damage, or disputes with third parties (customers, suppliers, business partners, investors, authorities) arising from the activity of your startup, during or after the period in which you use the platform.

• Compliance and legality: you are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to your business in your country (commercial, tax and employment law, data protection, intellectual property, sector licences, anti-money laundering rules). StartAton does not check or certify the compliance of the ideas, products or operations you pursue.

• Accuracy of the information you enter: you agree to provide genuine, accurate and up-to-date data, documents and statements. If during the journey you enter false, misleading or altered information, or information relating to third parties without their authorisation (including identities, financial data, product metrics, traction, contracts, patents, partnerships or certifications), you alone are responsible. StartAton is not liable for the consequences (civil, criminal, tax, reputational) of using untrue data with third parties (investors, customers, partners, authorities). In case of abuse or suspected fraud, we reserve the right to suspend or close the account and to report it to the competent authorities.

• AI-generated content: the replies of Aton may contain errors, inaccuracies or out-of-date information. Always check critical facts, data and references before making operational decisions.

In no event shall StartAton, its owners, employees or collaborators be liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the service, within the limits set by the applicable law.
